Airport Pick-Up and Drop-Off
BIG ISLAND HAWAII
Hilo (ITO) Did you rent a car at the Hilo airport. After deplaning, you will enter the passenger terminal near the southern end of the Hilo airport. Next, head to the baggage claim area and locate your bags. After retrieving your baggage, you can simply exit the passenger terminal, cross the access road (Kekuanaoa Ave.), and go to the Hawaii rental car business you booked. Map and Directions
Kona (KOA) First, you’ll want to reserve a car rental at the Kona airport. When arriving at Kona International, you can pick up your rental car before getting your checked luggage. This will enable you to toss the bags directly into your rental car and avoid hauling the bags around while getting to your car. The Hawaii Car Rental shuttle pick-up is located near the baggage claim area. I timed the ride last time and found it to be about 2-3 minutes. Make sure you keep track of the route. Then, quickly fill out your car rental agreement, take the quick drive down the hill, and park in front of the baggage claim area. Get your bags and you are on your way! Map and Directions
OAHU
Honolulu (HNL) After exiting your plane in Oahu, you will enter the passenger terminal of the Honolulu airport. After claiming your baggage, proceed to the car rental company booths on either side of the baggage claim area. Fill out your rental agreement and you will be directed to go outside, where you will catch the rental car shuttle bus. Renting off-site from Thrifty no longer saves you extra money because concession fees are now charged at all locations. However, we at Aloha rents offer Hawaii car rentals that can save you some money if you need an airport minivan rental or SUV rental in Honolulu. Map and Directions.
KAUAI
Lihue (LIH) After deplaning in Kauai, enter the passenger terminal and proceed to the baggage claim. Claim your bags and proceed to the car rental company booths located outside and directly across the street. Locate the car rental company which was chosen for your particular needs. Upon completing the rental car agreement you should go directly behind the car rental booths and board the shuttle bus which will take you to the car rental lots. The first stop houses the majority of the lots. The Hawaii Car Rental pick-up location is another 5 minutes further at 3120 Oihana Street. Using us for your next Lihue Airport minivan rental or SUV rental saves you money. Map and Directions.
MAUI
Kahului (OGG) After exiting your plane in Maui, you will enter Kahului airport’s passenger terminal (mostly open-air). Claim your baggage and proceed to the car rental company booths located out in front of the main entrance and to your right. Since you already have your discount reservation, cross the street as you exit baggage claim to board the tram for the short ride to the Maui car rental center. The train runs every 3 minutes, so you never need to wait more than a few minutes. After exiting the shuttle at the Kahului airport car rental lot, you will complete your paperwork for a car, minivan rental or SUV rental. Map and Directions
Kapalua (JHM) This airport can be a nice place to arrive and depart if you stay in one of the many condos on the North Shore. Operations are currently limited to daytime hours.
