Airport Pick-Up and Drop-Off

Big Island Airports

Hilo (ITO) After deplaning you will enter the passenger terminal near the southern end of the Hilo airport. Next, head to the baggage claim area and locate your bags. After retrieving your baggage you can simply exit the passenger terminal and cross the access road (Kekuanaoa Ave.) and go to the rental car business you booked with. Map and Directions

Kona (KOA) Typically, when arriving at Kona International, you can pick-up your rental car before getting your checked luggage. This will enable you to toss the bags directly into your rental car and avoid hauling the bags around while getting to your car. The Car Rental shuttle pick-up is located near the baggage claim area. I timed the ride last time and found it to be about 2-3 minutes. Make sure you keep track of the route. Quickly fill out your car rental agreement and take the quick drive down the hill and park in front of the baggage claim area. Get your bags and you are on your way! Map and Directions

Oahu Airports

Honolulu (HNL) After exiting your plane in Oahu you will enter the passenger terminal of the Honolulu airport. After claiming your baggage proceed to the car rental company booths on either side of the baggage claim area. Fill out your rental agreement and you will be directed to go outside where you will catch the rental car shuttle bus. If you are using Thrifty you do not need to check-in at the airport. Simply hop on the shuttle for rental car pick-ups. The ride only takes 5-10 minutes (3147 Nimitz Highway) and the shuttle runs every 5 minutes. Renting off-site from Thrifty no longer saves you extra money due to the fact that concession fees are now charged at all locations. Map and Directions

Kauai Airports

Lihue (LIH) After deplaning in Kauai, enter the passenger terminal and proceed to the baggage claim. Claim your bags and proceed to the car rental company booths located outside and directly across the street. Locate the car rental company which was chosen for your particular needs. Upon completing the rental car agreement you should go directly behind the car rental booths and board the shuttle bus which will take you to the car rental lots. The first stop houses the majority of the lots. The Thrifty Car Rental pick-up location is another 5 minutes further at 3120 Oihana Street. Using us for your next Kauai car rental saves you money. Map and Directions

Maui Airports

Kahului (OGG) After exiting your plane in Maui you will enter the passenger terminal (mostly open-air) of the Kahului airport. Claim your baggage and proceed to the car rental company booths located out the main entrance and to your right. Since you already have your discount reservation, follow the sidewalk around back to find the Maui car rental shuttles. Locate the sign with your specific rental car company on it. The shuttle literally runs every 3-5 minutes, so you never need to wait more than a few minutes. If the booths are closed (many of them often are) when you arrive, you can simply go around the back of the booths and hop on your company’s shuttle. You will complete your paperwork after exiting the shuttle at the car rental lot. The majority of the lots are all within a 3-4 block range of the OGG airport. Map and Directions

Kapalua (JHM) This airport can be a nice place to arrive and depart if you are staying in one of the many condos on the North Shore. Operations are currently limited to daytime hours. All of our car rental partners are located in the small town of Lahaina. They operate on a limited schedule (7 AM to 5 PM) seven days a week. Of course, taxis are available 24 hrs per day. Your confirmation email will have a phone number in it. Once on the ground at JHM, call the agency for their complimentary shuttle service. It typically takes only 10-15 minutes for the shuttle to arrive. Map and Directions

Molokai Airports

Molokai Airport (MKK) The Hoolehua or Molokai Airport (MKK) is situated near the center of the island, 6 miles northwest of Kaunakakai. Vehicular access is provided by separate access roadways, each connecting with Keonelele Avenue. The (MKK) airport does not serve as a major hub for any airlines. Airport services mainly consist of inter-island commercial flights and some military air traffic. Hoolehua Airport on Molokai is composed of two main runways. Map and Directions
